​Waterfest on castle rock lake is held annually on the first saturday of august

​Waterfest is one of the biggest weekends of the year here in the Castle Rock Lake area!  The following is a description of a typical event year:

The first Saturday every August hosts a full day of fun-filled family activities at the Castle Rock County Park, typically including a 5K Walk/Run, Bike Parade, Historic 40et8 Train Rides, Food Vendors, Music, Light Your Campsite Contest, Super Hero Visitors, plus all the usual campground activities of hiking, swimming, and lounging on the beach.

At dARK (approximately 9:15pm) the LYNXX WATERFEST  FIREWORKS SHOW BEGINS!  wHETHER YOU WATCH THEM FROM YOUR BOAT ON THE WATER, OR FROM THE cASTLE rOCK cOUNTY pARK'S bEACH, OR FROM ANY ONE OF OUR FUN ESTABLISHMENTS ALONG THE JUNEAU COUNTY SHORELINE FROM THE DIRTY TURTLE TO THE PARK... YOU'LL HAVE THE BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE FOR T HIS FABULOUS DISPLAY!  Its a climactic ending to a fabulous day!
